Footing is the record for the job. Xero keeps the books, Stripe takes the payment, and the AI you bring does the asking. Each one connects from settings in a couple of minutes.
Accounting
Xero
Invoices, clients and supplier bills go to Xero. Payments applied in Xero come back and land on the job.

Clients and contacts, to Xero
Supplier bills, to Xero as bills
Payments, back from Xero onto the Footing invoice
Bill paid status, back from Xero
Sales, purchases and bank account codes, set once
Included on every plan. Webhook first, 15-minute sweep as backup.
Settings, then Integrations. Each one has its own page with a connect button and a health line.
02
Authorise it once
Xero and Stripe hand you to their own login and back. ChatGPT or Claude takes a workspace key you paste in.
03
Check the health line
Synced, failed and last successful sync sit on the page, so you can see it working without asking us.
Questions
Which is the source of truth, Footing or Xero?
Footing for the invoice and the client. Xero for the payment. Footing never creates or voids an invoice from Xero, and a Xero payment on an invoice Footing does not know about is ignored and logged for a human, not applied.
Do I need a Stripe account?
Yes, for Pay Now links. Connecting one takes a couple of minutes from settings. Invoices still send as PDFs without it, and clients can pay by bank transfer as they do now.
Does Footing come with its own AI?
No. Footing is the record. You connect the ChatGPT or Claude you already pay for and it reads and writes that record under your login, so it can only see and do what you can.
What about MYOB?
Not yet. Xero is the accounting integration today. Ask on a walkthrough if MYOB is the thing holding you back.
